Workbench Build Diaries (Pt.5)

I'm working at my new workbench for a while now and I still love it.

Time to move on....

The Benefits of Getting Older

It was my fiftieth birthdays last week Tuesday.

As I dread this section in life, I had to recognized that nothing is different from the day before.

So my question is what might be the benefits?

Workbench Build Diaries (Pt.4)

At one of the last weekends time had come.

The tools had been packed. The old cabinets were empty.

Off we go!

Workbench Build Diaries (Pt.3)

The workbench becomes more and more complete.

I should be able to install it within the next weeks.

Except I have overseen something.

Workbench Build Diaries (Pt. 2)

Building the bench top for the new work bench keeps me busy.

It leaves no time to do other projects.

Here is an update about the bench top.

Workbench Build Diaries (Pt.1)

Beside spending time on doing investigations on Mid Century chairs I made some progress on the bench build.

And I've started to get rid of some stuff.

New Year - Fresh Start!

You're left with a new year when the holiday season comes to an end and all the festivities are over.

For me it will be a time to set in place new things to do and learn.

That said here comes my woodworking plans for the next couple of weeks (or month).

Workshop Insights

Actually I'm working in parallel to my woodworking project on my bench build.

Just want to give a short update.

Additionally I think it's time for some workshop insights.

The Case - A Workbench Adventure

The workbench is a nice "side" project :-) .

I'm busy at work for the time being, so some low-brainer work in the shop is ideal for relaxation.

What's Good for Your Soul?

I was busy the last days with a lot of things. Not much of this was woodworking. But I would like to share some thoughts.

The Workbench Adventure

It seems that my workbench plans are not pretty popular. Anyway, I will build what I have planed.

Maybe it is a good idea to give you some more information about my thoughts and considerations.

Do I Need A New Workbench?

When I started with woodworking 3 years ago, I didn't had any idea about what workplace I would need.

So I started with what I had. A few box cabinets made from chipboards and a working surface made from MDF.

But now I know it is time to have a working environment which fits my needs much better.

This post will be the beginning of my upcoming project of building a new workbench.

You know what? Feel yourself invited to follow me on this trip.

Help! I've Got Too Many Ideas

I guess you all know the situation -

Another project was finished.

And now the unavoidable question raises.

What now? Which will be the next project?
