A longer while ago I have found a wooden short jointer plane at one of my flea market visits.

Somehow I didn't spent any time to care about it. Planing a wide board as a top panel caused me to recall.

Wherever I Lay My Hat

Don't worry. This post is not about the Marvin Gaye song. Although it fits into the period my new project is about. The song is from 1962. So we are talking about the Mid-Century.

Another Summer is Over

Man, time flies by. While I'm still waiting that Summer is coming, it is already over.
That was a crazy one. No longer period of having nice weather conditions. Rain every second day.
And personally, I didn't spent much time with woodworking.

Back to the making!

And what it was about.

Wednesday, 19 April 2017

What Have I Changed?

I had resolved not to write about sharpening.

There are specialist out there who do know everything about it.

I'm just a simple Internet woodworker.

Wednesday, 12 April 2017

The English Balcony Bench

Maybe a rash purchase.

If Everything Fails

I had to finish the tool box I've made end of last year.

Only the drawers were missing.

Not a big deal - I thought.

Wednesday, 1 February 2017

Do I Need Moulding Planes?

In the off season we have visited an indoor flea market.

Although it was indoor it was damn cold.

Wednesday, 25 January 2017

Plane Hammer Prototype (Pt.2)

I've started to do a prototype of a plane hammer.

Let's see how it is developing.

Wednesday, 18 January 2017

Prototyping...

....or fiddling around in the shop.
From cleaning the floor to think about the one or the other project.

I didn't came to the point to be really productive.

Maybe I should figure out something...
