That mouth looks to be tad large which no matter what you do it will be difficult to get fluffy shavings.<br />Wooden planes respond to hammer taps differently. It doesn't take much to advance or retard the iron. Light taps are better than heavy ones. I had a couple of ECE primus planes but I sold them.
